A Year Through God's Eyes

I love the conversation that seems to go on in Psalm 11 between David and his advisers. It seems that those closest to the King don't have nearly the faith in God that David does. What they see are the same things I see so often in my own life: the physical world. David took no pause in calling them to more faith in verse one, where he reminds them that our fight is a spiritual one, not only physical. He reminds us that for the faithful man, the reward is a more intimate relationship with his Creator, ultimately leading to being so close that you see Him face to face.
